With the Deutschland-Ticket for seniors from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania you have the opportunity to discover the whole of Germany for just €38 per month. The state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will cover the difference of €20 (from the regular price of €58) for you.

scope
The Deutschland-Ticket for seniors is valid:
- nationwide.
- in all local public transport (regional trains, S-Bahn, subway, tram, city and regional bus, ferry).
- in long-distance transport exclusively in long-distance trains (2nd class) between Rostock main station and Stralsund main station.
Please note that the ticket is not valid on long-distance transport (IC, ICE, EC - exceptions see above) or historical means of transport.
Period of validity
The Deutschland-Ticket for seniors:
- is a nationwide valid subscription
- can be canceled monthly (until the 10th of the month)
- is valid all day, without time limit.
Requirements
The Deutschland-Ticket for seniors you will receive if you:
- are at least 65 years old on the first day of validity
- have your main residence in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Therefore, you need a copy of your ID card (back side only) to apply.
Person-related
The Deutschland-Ticket for seniors is a personal time card. It is non-transferable and does not include any travel regulations.

Option 1: Online
Order your Deutschland-Ticket for seniors directly in our ABO customer portal.
Option 2: Customer Center
You can apply for your Deutschland-Ticket for seniors directly at one of our RSAG customer centers or a VVW sales point or other participating transport companies.
Deadlines
Order
You can order the Deutschland-Ticket for seniors by the 23rd of a month so that it starts at the beginning of the next month.
Example: Order your Deutschland-Ticket by July 23rd so that your subscription starts on August 1st.
Cancellation
Termination must be made by the 10th of the month to the end of the respective calendar month. Example: Cancel the Deutschland-Ticket by April 10th so that your contract ends on April 30th.
Mobile ticket or chip card?
There are 2 options for the Deutschland-Ticket: Either you receive your ticket as a chip card or you use the digital version and have your ticket displayed in the VVW app.
Please note that you must choose one of the two options. You cannot use both ticket options.
