2 till 10 July maritime folk festival in Warnemünde.

The first weekend of July is traditionally the start of the so-called Warnemünder Woche (Warnemünde Week). While numerous sailing competitions take place on the water, you can watch the sporting hustle and bustle of the sailors, kiters and surfers as well as the varied show programme on land. A colourful mile of entertainment and strolling awaits you from Alter Strom to the lighthouse.

  • Opening of strolling mile

    Enjoy a walk along all shops at Alter Strom
  • 19th „Niege Ümgang“
    Saturday, 2 July, 10:00 a.m.
    Traditional parade with personalities from the historic and the current history of Warnemünde
  • 26th Beach Handball Days
    Saturday, 2 July & Sunday, 3 July
    24 men's- and 24 women's teams from all over Germany are competing against each other at the beach of Warnemünde
  • Dragon boat race
    Saturday, 9  July, 09:00 a.m. & Sunday, 10 July, 09:30 a.m.

How to get there

Our recommendation for your way to Warnemünder Woche:

  • via the stops Warnemünde Kirchenplatz and Wiesenweg
  • by bus no. 36 and 37
  • from Rostock central station: by S-Bahn (suburban train) until Warnemünde Werft or Warnemünde central station
  • from Markgrafenheide: by bus no. 17 until Hohe Düne Fähre and continueing by ferry to Warnemünde
